Anime: About a thousand years ago lived a princess on the moon named Princess Serenity she fell in love with the earth Prince Endymion. A forbidden love from the start a forbidden one that unfortunate did not last. An evil Queen Beryl Attack the moon and killed the people of the Moon , Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion. With her last strength Queen Serenity used her crystal to send fourth her daughter, Prince Endymion and the people of the moon to the future to be reborn again. A thousand years into the future Serenity and Endymion was reborn into Usagi and Mamoru. When they first met they fought and picked on each other. Before they had regain their memories of the past they fought together against Queen beryl forces as Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Moon. During a battle they regain their past memories .back when Tuxedo Kamen got hurt thus causing them to remember who they once were. Beryl then took Endymion away from Serenity and turn him against her. Serenity kept fighting and she finally heal him and defeat Queen Beryl. Thus ending the first season.
Anime lasted five Seasons (200 Episodes). Plus Three Movies, Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon Super S
Manga: About same as the Anime Except Queen Beryl wanted Endymion for herself to rule by her side. Her jealously of Endymion and Serenity love caused her to try to kill Serenity in an effort to protect his love he took the sword for her. In a moment of despair over losing her love she took the sword and killed herself. In the Manga Usagi and Mamoru had a very passionate relationship compare to the Anime. Usagi and Mamoru in the Manga found out they each other identify before the past was shown to them thus giving them a chance to fall in love on their own. Which I think added a deeper story for the two in the Manga.
Original Complete Manga lasted 52 Acts.
Revised Edition covers 60 acts including the side Stories.
Live Action Sailor Moon (PGSM-Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) Started out like the anime at first then more to the Manga version of Sailor Moon. It then went into it’s own story line of the events that happen during the Silver Millennium (the era of the Moon). In the PGSM version Serenity was said to be the one that destroyed the Moon when she witness Endymion death. She was struck with Grief and destroyed the Moon with the Crystal. Reborn again on Earth as Usagi she was awakened as Sailor Moon by Luna to fight. When Princess Serenity was found out to be the one that caused deaths everyone then did their best to prevent it from happening again. In a effort to protect Earth Endymion went with Queen Beryl willing to stop the destruction of his guardians. In the End of PGSM Endymion takes Metaria into his body, the armor and accessories turn black and he becomes known as Metaria Endymion. In his mind he thought he could control Metaria but he was wrong. Sailor Moon had to kill her love to protect the people of earth. In her despair once again Princess Serenity destroyed earth. As Usagi she used her life to bring back life on earth. In the End they were reborn normal as only Usagi and Mamoru. Pgsm is the only one that shown the wedding of Usagi and Mamoru. You can see it in the Special Act. Anime did not do a wedding of Usagi and Mamoru.
There was 49 episodes and two specials Act Zero and a Wedding Special.
Sailor Moon is also in a musical version I am not familiar with this version yet. I hope to have it on the site soon for your knowledge.
